A federal gun grab?
Sen. Frank Niceley is never one to mince words. Today he had some choice words for President Obama and the gun task force that’s headed by Vice President Joe Biden. He’s also filed legislation.
“I hate to see the Democrats and the gun grabbers in Washington use this hideous crime to further their gun confiscation program. That’s what they want to do, take our guns,” he said.
In a nutshell, his bill would prohibit state funds from being used to confiscate weapons as a result of any gun control legislation passed by the federal government. He says this has been causing his constituents a lot of concern. The bill has a House sponsor and co-sponsors in the Senate.
Right now, there is no new federal gun control law to not enforce here in Tennessee. But state lawmakers will be ready if it happens.
